"Little Roger" Stories
As a parent, I wanted my kids to know that making mistakes is part of being human. At bedtime, I would share stories of the dumb things and mistakes I made as a little kid. They became the “Little Roger” stories. I was incredibly curious, and over time my parents became quite worried about my safety. My poor parents.
My kids LOVED these stories and they really are quite funny. My daughter asked me to document them, so I thought I would share them here over time. There are a lot of them, and it will take me some time, but each one is entertaining, at minimum.
I shared a few of my stories with a friend Brad who then proceeded to tell me about his craziest things as a kid. He wins. His poor parents.
Maybe everyone has stories of this sort to share!
Below are my version, my Little Roger Stories. I have a lot of them and it will take some time to write them up.
1) A beautiful pink perfume bottle
2) The Firecracker in the Garage

Other Interesting Bits
This section is just a bunch of things that I find interesting, funny or useful.
The video below comes from a trip to Europe, when we walked through the woods and I noticed the trees were moving in a very interesting way. I put my camera down on the ground and filmed it. I just watched the trees move for a while. I found it interesting, in that Chaos sense.
During Covid, I started filming the sunsets with a glass of wine each night. I would run it on timelapse mode. This mode takes a video and makes it about 30 seconds, by throwing out frames to compress it. They ALL were amazing. I learned so much. Below is an example or two.
During COVID, I started filming the sunsets with a glass of wine each night. I would run a video on time-lapse mode. This mode takes a video and makes it about 30 seconds, by throwing out frames to compress it. A 45 minute sunset can be watched in 30 seconds.
Below are a couple of examples.
One night, I had the thought to turn on slow motion and film the water. The result was almost eerie.
The image below was taken on my way home. I really did check for a pot of gold.
